Peer Support Group

Somebody's Angel is a charity event that aims to fundraise and raise awareness for the refugee families in Malaysia who are lesser known about but require equal attention especially during the pandemic. A series of activities were conducted online to raise funds for MSRI in order to buy materials for the refugee students and their families. This includes activities by the student volunteers, The Knowledge Fountain, and a quantity donation.

 

Student volunteers were recruited in early August 2020 to plan, promote and organize fundraising activities such as Movie Night and Game Night. The Knowledge Fountain, a book donation drive, was also set up to collect books for the purpose of building a library for the refugee children. A quantity donation was also open to the public to buy books, stationeries, hygiene packs, cereal, milk powder, and toys.
